Ah… so here I am, my dear Sarena invited me to “guest” blog for her and how could I refuse? Must give face to my richer friend(:

well, we’re at the end of the year, and time have really passed by remarkably fast this year. And I have made such close friends, much more than I expected when I first stepped into 1/O in 2005. Haha… I still remember after the orientation camp, a few of us were waiting for our parents to pick us up. We were just talking if I’m not wrong Shalini was there. Precious memories isn’t it? And after much struggle and luck we managed to clinch the Best Class Award, which was certainly a surprise. And after that, I felt our class come much closer the following year. I started becoming close to people who I didn’t know were so nice and open. Elle was one of the first, and my partner in crime. She and I would just sit at the back of the class, enjoying the breeze from the window and talk and talk and talk. I swear I don’t know how she put up with me. (: Then there was Shalini, who always without fail would come by Elle and my place to talk to us. There was once Shalini sat under Elle’s desk for the whole lesson and amazingly didn’t get caught by the teacher. Rena was always joking and laughing about with me, and when it came to work, whether was collecting forms or group work, they were so helpful and motivational. Plus she’s the one who would come to my defense at times when I got bullied by the rest. Thanks Rena! and Sarena was great help to me when I was down with work I didn’t want to do, just some how pushing me up, or rather dragging me along at her fast pace. And some where in this year, she decided that I married a foreigner, and owed her tea because I didn’t invite her from my supposed wedding. For the record, I owe her tea x3(:(:

haha… here’s a little glimpse into my life. Sec two started out great and for me it’ll never end. Here’s wishing all my beloved classmates the best of luck, in whatever you do wherever you go. And hopefully, we’ll always be as close as we are, maybe closer. From the bottom of my heart, thanks so much 2/O for everything, the laughter, the worry, the joy.

My head hurts and my tummy's upset]: &the siren of the van is just making it worst. some joker triggered the alarm and the car owner has yet to appear.It has been wailing for near 30minutes. gosh somebody stop it please, it's driving me INSANE!!

My results that I recieved today met my expectations, so I'm quite please about that. I've got 2As so far plus a c5 for higher chinese which is really lousy but the thing is I'm not even Chinese, so I don't expect much[:

It was such a mess at the birthday yesterday evening and I felt sooo EMO :((( and I still am.

I froze. The three accusing numbers stared coldly at me in the face- I was doomed. A million thoughts ran through my head; how could this have happened to me? What had I done wrong to deserve this? Or was this even real? Tears of anguish burst out from within me- never had I envisaged such a low PSLE- 2**.

From henceforth, the whole world seemed to be crashing down on me, my future was ruined and my dreams were shattered, there seemed absolutely no way to carry on. I began to question whether all that time spent studying and preparing for the PSLE was worth while; and that whether the educational system in Singapore has really helped me to become a better learner. There were so many doubts in my head that I began to lose faith in both myself and the education system. Thus, I entered ***** ***** Secondary School bent on not to give my best, for I felt that all hope had been lost and any other attempts to bounce back from that dreadful fall would be completely futile.

With that kind of apathy, I drifted along day after day, making no effort to break free from depression. In fact, my behaviour deteriorated and I began rebelling against authority figures of my life. Despite the fact that my family and many teachers had tried to talk me out of my depression, I turned a deaf ear to their advice for I felt that my life was completely worthless.

This tedium of fluctuating between inertia and rebellion continued throughout three quarters of the first year until I began to take stock of my life. As I contemplated on my dismal existence, it dawned on me that while it seemed futile to want to better myself, I was not deriving much satisfaction in being indifferent either. Since I still have a life, I resolved that I should seize every opportunity to make the best of it. The words that jolted me out of my inertia were, “If you think that you’re capable of going to a better school, then why aren’t you topping this school? Instead, you’re rock bottom!” As I pondered over what my teacher had said, I realised that there was some validity in those searing words. Not wanting to waste my life anymore and armed with a new confidence, I was determined to get back on track and make the most of the opportunity to learn while staying in ***** ***** Secondary School.

In retrospect, I realised that the learning process for any individual should not be hampered by the kind of institution she is being subjected to and whether in the prosperity or adversity, there will be nuggets of truth to be gleaned from one’s life. Finally, the knowledge and understanding attained to through studying and interacting with peers, cannot be conclusively measured through one examination. An examination is only one form of assessment and it may not always necessarily reflect one’s potential accurately. I realised that the value of one’s life should not be measured by one’s academic achievements or whether one can attain to self glory. My life would have been worthless if I have not learned anything that will enrich the lives of others and benefit society through my contributions, be it big or small.

As opportunities abound in every learning process, I am now seizing one opportunity that will open up new vistas for me so that my potential can be maximized and my life would not be wasted away in a lifetime of regrets.

anyway, SMELLY EYES is a really nice person who gets high very easily and likes to go ROARRR. She's my saviour in chinese class where she talks to me in ENGLISH to save me from the evil clutches of the searing CHINESE words which burst out from yu lao shi's mouth.

HMMM. She's one of the best singer in a choir that clinches GOLD every year and often goes overseas to perform. So generally, she's a musically inclined person. hah! but you still can't beat me in playing the piano:P

She drives people INSANE when she's high and loves vandalising on RENAAA. She also fancies the "therefore" and "because" mole thing cause she's KUKU up in her mind.

Besides Yanrui's visit, the day has been horribly BORING and UNEVENTFUL, even the koi in the pond stopped sucking at the algae.

I have got no books to read except those that would bore me to DEATH. I am sick of the computer. I played the piano this morning and I have no intention to practise again. BOO!!

YAY. I'm back from my monthly dental appointment. It was horrible. I was never fond of visits to the dentist anyway. It was really horrid; I mean the dentist had FLUORIDE placed into my mouth.ewwww.

*FLUORIDE for the un-informed, is POISONOUS and if swallowed in large amounts can lead to tragic tummy upsets or at worst -DEATH.

Anyway, it was particular torturing because I couldn't swallow the FLUORIDE and that means that I could not swallow in saliva as well. & I had to let my saliva DRIP into the basin less I wanted to die of swallowing FLUORIDE. sickkkkk.

Forget the dentist.

So, I had piano lesson yesterday and guess who I saw, CLARALIMXUANQI!! haha. haven't seen you in AGES. omggg. Clara is horribly tall now! In primary school, she used to be a head shorter than me but now... I'm so much shorter!! GAH. it is not my fault that I had inherited SHORT and FAT genes. HMPH.

From today onwards, Sarena is going to skip& jump& drink more milk( which she doesn't fancy too much) just to grow TALLER.

Oooh & Ms Tan said that she was happy with my performance and that my playing of the piano has improved tremendously, especially my sight reading! She's particularly happy with my sonatina!! YIPEE.

haha! the most recent things first. I just mugged and mugged and mugged and mugged like there's no tomorrow! It was crazy!! I even resorted to studying in the balcony when I got sick of studying inside. LOL. OK... so the earliest paper was English, which started on the 22nd of september, and ending the exams was Geography, which was today. I had loads of support from many nice people throughout the whole examinations!! I LOVE YOU GUYS<333>

the flight for jarkata is like tomorrow morning and i haven't even started packing. GREAT.

i really really am not looking forward to going. bet it would suck. im having this notion that i am gonna screw the whole thing up and come back with this big fat zero at the end of the tournament since i haven't practice for MONTHS.

reasons why i should not go to jarkata:
1. I am NOT AT ALL ready for this tournament; I skipped intensive training, missed like the whole term of squad, NEVER paid attention during private training and definitely couldn't be bothered to practice chess by myself.
2. Singapore is going to get shamed by my getting of a BIG FAT ZERO.
3. The hotel we're staying in is full of caucasians, meaning that we would be the prime target of terrorists and that there's chances that we get blasted up. some stoopid person said that most of the caucasians who were staying in the hotel were europeans not americans. DO YOU THINK TERRORISTS CARE??
4. There are cases of bird flu there and not to long ago a girl just DIED. I assure you that I do not want to be the next.
5. Volcano eruptions, earthquakes, tsunamis and whatever mother nature is going to do to us next. Who knows?
6. There's loads of kidnapping and murder, this happens especially to the chinese. I don't look chinese, SO WHAT. some people think im eurasian, isn't that just worst?
7. It's polluted and bad for health.
8. I DON'T FEEL LIKE GOING.

i had such a busybusy day[:

woke up at 0630 to play tennis at laguna for a couple of hours, followed by chess training and chinese tuition and i just returned from tennis which started at eight. so it was DOUBLE TENNIS TODAY!! YAY-ness.

I PASSED MY PIANO THEORY!!

omg.that was totally unexpected, i mean i was so preoccupied with tennis and chess that i only started mugging for theory 2 days before the exam!! i so expected to fail but i got 82/100;that's a merit and i had 10 marks higher for my previous theory exam. but then again who cares? I PASSED!!

maybe i should take up MEP next year. or maybe not.just keeping my options open.

Hellooo.

I just recovered from this nasty combination of fever, sore throat, flu and cough. It totally sucked being sick. I lost my voice and I couldn't eat like every single thing cause my throat hurt crazy. The doctor claims that i over-stretched myself.MAYBE.butbutbut what was worst was that I had to missed the 2nd SPEX Junior Age Championships. GAH. I trained like nuts for that competition and I missed it.what luck. I mean I haven't been sick in 2 years and now suddenly comes this mean strain of germs attacking my dear white blood cells. I wouldn't mind it coming like a week later then I probably can NOT go to ASEAN.However, on the lighter note, I got to watch the telly and skipped tonnes of tuition.((:

just came back from like this super hectic day of tuition and stuff. chess totally killed me.its confirmed that im going to jarkata. kinda sad really. but the hotel has tennis courts!! yay-ness.

there's like a gazillion of things i wanna talk about.

i gave mummy her present this morning. haha. she was delighted((: i love to see people happy. and guess what? baby herman actually cooked breakfast and lunch for her!! so sweet!! i thought she would get a tummy upset or sth, but in the end she didn't. gawd. my brother cooks!! i don't even know how to fry a decent egg.LOL.

went to the siglap to get a new nose pad for my spectacles. it cost 5 bucks O.o It's free at the lens men but my mummy wanted to avoid the jam at marine parade so we went to siglap instead. its muchmuch better with the nose pads on now[: i bought the june issue of TENNIS as well. i'm so gonna get the o3 shark hybrid but as for now, i'm contented with my shark((:

i swear the weather is against me.

when i was in the hall, mr sun was all bright and shiny. but the moment i stepped out, those menancing clouds came. FINE, i don't mind the clouds so long as it doesnt rain.well, SOME HOW, when i was totally prepared to play, IT STARTED TO POUR. what's worst was that it stopped raining the moment training was over and done with. GAHH.

Alas! Coach is gone and ceased forever.
but please don't get me wrong;
really he's not a bad guy either, i quite like him, except that he's moronically irresponsible.
always not turning up for training and stuff.
so uh huh it was a WEIRD day for everyone yesterday.
some were utterly miserable and at the verge of tears;
some were elated and jumping with joy;

MY OBSERVATIONS OF TENNIS PLAYERS:

ALL of them are so freaking RICH!! i'm JEALOUS!! but then again who cares? i'm happy with what i have. in fact i'm BLESSED and i ask for nothing more((:(having more would be better though)
EVERYBODY uses WILSON. and i, being the odd one out, use PRINCE. are prince rackets bad? coach said that prince rackets made in singapore are of not-really-good cause they are made in china. MAYBE. but i'm choosing not to believe it.like hello wilson is made in china too. fine he uses YONEX. besides i'm an avid PRINCE-user. PRINCE-rule the court!
